  1. Clemmons - Sample Space Mutiplication Counting Principle
Really like this activity as a way of sparking interest of the students where data analysis is concerned whereby students are making a decision about a vehicle they choose to purchase. I like how scaffolding was used in the activity by letting the student decide if they want to use a tree diagram to help guide their decisions about the choices that could be made. Great Job!!!

  2. WOW Factor!!!
Students take pictures(use of cell phones to engage student learning) of each station and work collaboratively to complete each station. Students creation of a Pic Collage of the problems and the solutions was a great idea.. Email submission was a nice spin on the station activity.
    YET ANOTHER WOW MOMENT!!!
Method of Differentiation: Students were only allowed to ask a certain number of questions based on the station which cause the students to really think about what questions are important to ask and mainly encourage collaboration amongst the individual groups and across groups.

  3. Darden- Warm Up on Integer and Lesson on Properties of Rotations, Reflections and Translations

It is great to see you reinforce a taught lesson in a warm up. It shows that not all students master the concept on adding, subtracting, dividing and multiply integers. Recently I just learned from a student a new way of remembering the rule for multiplying integers. She drew a tic-tac-toe (9 spaces). Then, she wrote a plus symbol in the diagonal. Then, all the other spaces are negative symbol. Then she told me as we can see in the first row, positive times negative is negative, negative times positive is negative, negative times negative is positive. It is easy to remember when taught this way.

  4. I really like the group activity that you used in your class. One person is a scribe and the other person is a sage. Then, students switch roles. I agree with you that students learn best this way. You can see that students participate and enjoy learning since they get to talk and listen to each other.
